Hi all,
One of the things we discussed in the Architecture Committee meeting today was how to go about creating the Kata Containers runtime. Next week Samuel and Xu will give an overview of both the Clear Containers and runV runtimes so the community can start giving suggestions about what should come from each, if one runtime is a better suited starting point than the other, etc.
The call will be February 12, 16:00UTC (Feb 12, 8am Pacific).
You can use the zoom link below at that time, or add the attached iCal for the call-in info.

Hi,
Thanks for the great work, I tried the instructions and it seems there's a
step missing here:
https://github.com/kata-containers/documentation/wiki/Developer-Guide#updat…
The kata-containers.conf was not pulled in before the sed command, the
instructions up to
that point worked, I now updated my `/etc/docker/daemon.json` file to
include the new runtime as below:
{
"runtimes": {
"kata-runtime": {
"path": "kata-runtime=/usr/local/bin/kata-runtime"
}
}
}
and then I get this:
% sudo docker run -ti --runtime kata-runtime busybox sh
docker: Error response from daemon: shim error: fork/exec
kata-runtime=/usr/local/bin/kata-runtime: no such file or directory.
I can confirm the runtime exists:
% ls -l /usr/local/bin/kata-runtime
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 30 Jan 29 14:28 /usr/local/bin/kata-runtime ->
/usr/local/bin/kata-runtime-cc*
I can also confirm it is in my PATH:
% sudo which kata-runtime
/usr/local/bin/kata-runtime
Let me know further steps I need to take to troubleshoot. Looking forward
to playing with this.
Thanks!

Hey all,
Are we conflating all discussions to this one 'dev' list or is there a
user/operator/architecture list that exists as well? Just curious as I know
this was just launched.
