Hey Folks,
We will be missing some of our US-based participants, but today (07/04) we have our
weekly CoCo meeting at 2:00 PM UTC - 10 AM EDT - 10PM CST.
The initial part of the meeting will be about project status, the 0.9.0 release and
the merge to main [1]
In the last part, Pei Zhang and Xiangchun Fu will present a demo on CoCo for fraud
detection AI workloads with Trustee attestation (using Openshift and Intel TDX
on-prem servers).
And yes, we're looking for future topics and discussions. Don't be shy, and add
yours to the meeting agenda [2].
See you all tomorrow.
Cheers,
Samuel.

Hey Everyone,
We have our CoCo community meeting tomorrow at the usual time of :00 PM
UTC - 10 AM EDT - 10PM CST.
We have a few great topics. First, we'll talk about the release that
just came out, v0.9.0-alpa1. Then we'll talk about v0.9.0, which we hope
to release in 4 weeks.
Our technical topic will be an overview of CoRIM from Thomas. This is
going to be absolutely key to our plans for reference values.
As usual, if you have a good topic for next meeting, please add it to
the agenda. [1]
See you soon,

Hi Kata Containers community,
I’m reaching out to you to draw your attention to the new Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Working Group (WG) web page on the OpenInfra website! You can visit it here: https://openinfra.dev/about/diversity
Diversity and inclusion are essential to the success and sustainability of open source communities. The D&I WG is set out to support all OpenInfra communities, including Kata Containers, to help identify and resolve challenges to create and maintain an inclusive and welcoming place for all people to collaborate.
The new web page is a dedicated space where you can learn more about our ongoing efforts to promote D&I within the OpenInfra communities. It provides resources, updates on initiatives, and opportunities for you to get involved in the working group and related activities.
To further these efforts, the working group is encouraging you to participate in the latest D&I survey. Your input is invaluable in helping to understand the current landscape and identify areas for improvement. The survey is completely anonymous, and your responses will remain confidential. Non-sanitized results are not shared outside OpenInfra Foundation staff and board delegates in the D&I Working Group.
You can take the survey multiple times, once for each OpenInfra community you are involved in. Your participation will help us create a more inclusive environment across all our projects.
Take the D&I Survey: https://openinfrafoundation.formstack.com/forms/openinfra_diversity_inclusi…
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to making OpenInfra a welcoming and inclusive community for everyone.
Best Regards,
Ildikó
P.S. Don’t forget to share the D&I survey with your peers within the community to ensure we capture diverse perspectives from across our community!

Hopefully you have seen by now, the next OpenInfra PTG[1] which will take
place October 21-25, 2024 virtually! Registration is now open[2]!
To sign up your team, you must complete the survey[3] by August 30th at

Hey Folks,
We have our weekly CoCo meeting tomorrow, at 2:00 PM UTC - 10 AM EDT - 10PM CST.
As usual, we'll dedicate the first part of our meeting to discuss about the 0.9.0
release and our merge to main efforts [1].
Our technical topic for this week is a follow-up from Reinhard on his April 25th
presentation about HSM passthrough into SE guests. The first part was really
fascinating, and I, for one, am looking forward to listening to the sequel.
And yes, we're looking for future topics and discussions. Don't be shy, and add
yours to the meeting agenda [2].
See you all tomorrow.
Cheers,
Samuel.

Hey Everyone,
We have our CoCo community meeting tomorrow at the usual time of 2:00 PM
UTC - 10 AM EDT - 10PM CST.
We'll start off by highlighting some of the great work that has happened
over the last week on the CI and platform support. We will then try to
answer a few specific questions about the scope of the upcoming release.
We will then hear from Samuel about confidential computing on RISC-V,
including device support. Even if you don't know much about RISC-V this
is a rare opportunity to hear from someone who is in the process of
designing a confidential computing architecture.
If you have any good topics for future meetings, please add them to the
agenda [1[.
See you soon,
Tobin
