Call for volunteers: release and packaging team
Kata folk, I want to setup a release and packaging team. It’d be helpful to have a couple of people in each geography to help drive this, and will likely include helping maintain packages for consumption by Canonical/Ubuntu and Redhat/Fedora, as well as the infra/processes around release. Please volunteer yourself or a colleague! Thanks, Eric

I have some experience with Packaging for Debian and Hamara Linux. [1] and I have been lurking around the mailing list and IRC channels for quite sometime. This seems like an opportunity for me to contribute and help. I would like to help in release and packaging for Debian/Ubuntu and derivatives if any. Let me know how to collaborate and go forward with this.
Please volunteer yourself or a colleague!
Thanks, Eric

Awesome, thanks Raju – I’ll start a thread with a hopeful quorum of developers on it and talk about next steps. Hi Eric, Thanks for the heads up ! I am interested in contributing towards release/engineering efforts. Attended my first Openstack Summit in Vancouver last month and Kata Containers got me excited :) Is it OK for a newbie (in Kata) to get started on this ?
