Demo of new VFIO support at upcoming AC meeting?
Hello all, After many months of working through various blocking issues, pull request #2795 is almost ready to go, adding support for VFIO (including SR-IOV) devices in a way that is much closer to expected OCI behaviour. This is the form that's needed for many DPDK based workloads. I can't attend the AC meeting, because it's the middle of the night for me. However, I have recorded a demo of the new functionality, and if people are interested, Ariel Adam can present it during the meeting. -- David Gibson | I'll have my music baroque, and my code david AT gibson.dropbear.id.au | minimalist, thank you. Great news, thanks!

I would suggest a variant of what Fabiano wrote: 1) Share your video, e.g. attached to the issue, so that we can indeed digest it 2) Outline architecture implications / questions 3) Have a slot in a later AC meeting to discuss the questions you asked. Also, it might be a good idea to engage in interactive discussion with people closer to your time zone (notably from China). That does not need to be in the AC meeting, but it could be quite fruitful. WDYT? Christophe

I suggested Ariel present, because I didn't immediately have a way to make the demo publically available. I've since figured that out, so you can get it from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fe5n9pmiYN8 -- David Gibson | I'll have my music baroque, and my code david AT gibson.dropbear.id.au | minimalist, thank you. David, Were you planning to present this week? Asking because I happen to be in a conference, so I was not planning to attend the AC meeting this week. Thanks Christophe

Yes, I believe so. I won't be there myself of course, but I believe Ariel was planning to present it this week.
