Hey Everyone,
Naming is hard, we all know it. And the time has come to pick a name for our future confidential containers GitHub repo/organization. With other usual suspects, we’ve come up with a list of names for that project. This is copied from the confidential containers meeting document[1]:
• Concontainer(s) • Conficon • Confibox • Confidcon • con-con • Con-box • Qonfid • Confidential-containers • Blackbox • Blackhole • Skelduz Containers • Janjira Containers • Serrana Containers • Nesta Containers • Knox Containers
In order to choose one name, I’m going to create a poll and let everyone vote in a few days. But before doing so I’d like to check if there are more proposals. So if you can think of any other name, please add it to [1]. Be creative :-) The Linux kernel is starting to use 'Coco' as an abbreviation for Confidential Computing. It's short and easy.
( 'cocon' is too close to cocoon that already exists. 'coconut' is already taken on github. )
Dave
Cheer, Samuel.
