Hey Kata community,
Exciting news -- Kata is going BIG with a significant presence at the Open Infrastructure Summit in Denver this April! We have more than 8 talks accepted for the Summit, a dedicated room at the PTG and the opportunity to participate in the Forum. There may be some additional opportunities for Kata to be featured at the Summit that will be shared soon.
If you haven’t already registered for the Summit and PTG you’ll want to do so now before prices increase on February 27! Register here <https://openinfrasummitandptgdenver.eventbrite.com/>.
View the agenda for the Open Infrastructure Summit Denver <https://www.openstack.org/summit/denver-2019/summit-schedule#day=2019-04-29>.
Kata sessions include:
Kata Containers on Edge Cloud (Yuntong Jin, Yu Bai, Zhiming Hu)
Kata Containers, story of a container runtime (Sebastien Boeuf)
Kata Containers on Arm: Let's talk about our progress! (Penny Zheng, Jia He)
Tracing the life of a packet with Kata Containers (Purnendu Ghosh)
Tailor-made security: Building a container specific hypervisor (Samuel Ortiz, Andreea Florescu)
Kubernetes Bedtime Stories: Taking the "scary" out of production workloads (panel)
Kata Containers Project Update (Eric Ernst, Manhoar Castelino)
Kata Containers Project Onboarding (Xu Wang)
We also plan to partake in the Project Teams Gathering <https://www.openstack.org/ptg> (PTG) event that’s co-located with with the Summit at the end of the week. The PTG offers dedicated meeting space for technical communities like Kata to have focused project-specific hack time together in person and also to collaborate with adjacent open source communities. The working draft of Kata’s PTG discussion topics has been started here <https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/katacontainers-2019-ptg-denver-agenda>. If you are planning to attend the PTG please add your name to the pad.
I’ll continue to share more information about the Summit and PTG as the date approaches. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Claire
