OK, after reading the paperwork, it appears that indeed the seat is an
"OpenStack Foundation" seat, with the goal to represent the interests of
all of our projects (Kata Containers, but also other projects like the
LOCI OpenStack containers distribution) on the OCI trademark board.
The seat will therefore be held by our OSF staff member expert in all
things container / trademark / interoperability: Chris Hoge
(chris at openstack.org). My apologies again for the aborted volunteer call.
That said, I strongly encourage Xu, Eric and Margaret (and anyone else
interested in OCI) to engage directly with Chris on OCI matters so that
he can channel your concerns effectively at the OCI trademark board.
As far as the OCI biweekly (public) development meetings are concerned,
I suspect Chris will attend those but anyone else is welcome to attend
to represent the Kata Containers viewpoint on future OCI spec development.
Regards,
