In the Kata booth, the focus of the content right now is helping folks understand containers security basics, and how Kata can be an added security layer to bolster your workload isolation.

We’ll have a (fun!) security quiz that serves as an ice breaker for talking about why people should be thinking about what security layers they do (and don’t) have for their workloads and how Kata works.

I also want to have a postcard that has quicklinks to the environment setup instructions by CSP* and private cloud. Essentially taking, “Neat I want to try this out!” to, “Who’s your cloud provider? Azure? Awesome, here’s the bitly for those docs. Go contain!”

*At https://github.com/kata-containers/documentation/blob/master/install/README.md there is currently only distro and GCP directions. A good reminder to send a docs PR if your directions aren’t in here yet!

I will be there too showing Kata demos at the Intel booth.  I still want to coordinate demos and messaging so that we are complimentary to each other.

Thanks

Awesome, Tim! Looks like a handful of folks got their talks accepted as well.

As people confirm their attendance, let me know--we’d love to have you make a cameo at the Kata booth, even if it’s only for a few hours. People love meeting the community members who are doing the work!

The speaker notification date postponed to Sep 24th, and I think many guys will make the decision by that time.

Hey all,

One of the things we will talk about tomorrow in the Working Committee meeting (1500 UTC) is our plans for KubeCon North America in December, where Kata Containers will have a booth.

We’ve tossed around ideas about office hours, live demos, etc., but it’d be helpful to get an idea of who is attending and who is interested in helping out with community activities like that. Who’s planning to be there?
