主 题:[kata-dev] [Announcement] Kata Containers 2.0 release

Hello everyone,

We have just tagged Kata Containers version 2.0.0. It delivers improved
performance and observability enhancements as the community continues to
address the challenge of providing secure, light, fast and agile
container management technology across stacks and platforms.

Key changes introduced in the 2.0 release are:

* kata-agent rewritten in rust to reduce attack interface and overhead
* agent protocol simplified from grpc to ttRPC
* a new componnet kata-monitor to improve observability and manageability
* a new component agent-ctl to help validate agent API
* all code and document repositories consolidated into one
* virtio-fs is now the default shared file system type
* guest kernel updated to v5.4.71
* QEMU updated to v5.0.0
* latest Cloud Hypervisor support on par with QEMU

As always, we thank all users and contributors who have helped to make
it happen. And we recommend users to upgrade their Kata deployment to
adopt the new features and improvements.

To install Kata Containers 2.0, please see

To upgrade from a Kata Containers 1.x deployment, please see

Happy Kata-ering ^_^

Cheers,
Tao
